Carl A. Nelson & Company provided Construction Management Agency services on multiple projects for Washington County Hospital and Clinics, including a major Addition and Renovation project.
This critical access hospital project consisted of two phases. The first phase consisted of construction of the new hospital and renovation of adjacent areas and the second phase included demolition and renovation of portions of the existing hospital after staff and services moved into the new hospital space.
This project involved extensive demolition and construction work around the daily operations of the hospital. Communication and collaboration between the construction management team, the architect, contractors, and the hospital staff was critical.
The magazine, Building Iowa - The Magazine for the Iowa Construction Industry, featured this project as an outstanding example of collaboration and customer service.
