Principal Objective of Position:

Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan that will increase revenues through successful completion of the Essential Functions of the position either on your own or through supervision of others. Create and maintain a favorable public image for the Company. Uphold the mission and values of the Company.

Job Functions:

• Prospect for project leads with owners, subcontractors, designers, employees and data sources

• Manage responses to requests for proposals including qualification statements

• Develop with management and utilize project selection criteria to direct sales effort and to qualify leads

• Make sales calls to develop and qualify project leads, determine who the decision makers are and to determine project delivery approach to project

• Educate customers on our industry and delivery methods

• Develop and participate in sales presentations

• Manage the prospect list and follow up by responsible party. Coordinate company wide sales effort

• Participate in the selection of projects to pursue

• Manage the maintenance of historical project data

• Analyze project performance history, produce statistical data and make recommendations regarding market segments to target for growth or reduction

• Scan the business environment for business opportunities

• Identify capabilities that will improve our client services or allow us to enter desirable market segments

• Research and understand the competitive environment of our markets including competitor’s capability, cost and fee structure and workload

• Participate in determining pricing strategy with the goal of maximizing profits.

• Manage advertising, including signage of jobsites

• Develop, maintain and manage the information on the external company web site

• Manage production of client news letters on a semi-annual basis

• Prepare for and attend trade shows

• Maintain and manage client surveys and obtain other client feed back and communicate to management and project participants. Recommend changes in company operations or capabilities to improve customer satisfaction and to increase repeat and referred business

• Develop and organize company promotions and appreciation events

• Maintain and promote company culture with company personnel

Other Functions:

• Be active in owner attended associations

• Manage routine charitable contributions

• Deliver bids on an as needed basis

• Prepare and manage business development budgets

• Train company personnel on customer service skills, presentation skills and sales skills

• Organize and promote public service and community involvement by employees

• May be asked to perform other duties as required by business needs

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in construction, business, marketing or related field

Experience:

• At least five years of related experience in the construction, engineering or architectural industries

• At least five years experience with project/program management

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Standard hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a minimum of 40 hours per week. Hours of Work may fluctuate depending on the needs and workload. Some overtime may be required based on Company policy.

Travel

Travel to job sites, prospective clients and trade shows may be required.
