This project includes a production facility for pet food and is the corporate headquarters for Royal Canin in Canada, and was awarded based on our performance on Royal Canin facilities in Rolla, Missouri. Besides production, the facility includes a customer training center, offices, maintenance shop and parts storage, quality control lab, a guard house, and a waste water treatment plant.

The Carl A. Nelson & Company-led design-build team developed the 94-acre site that included wetlands, protected forest, zoning restriction and prohibition of off-site storm water discharges. Carl A. Nelson & Company provided engineering support to obtain all the permits for the project which included storm water, air, noise, water taking, signage, building, waste water, and a site plan development agreement. The facility was designed to accommodate hazardous materials which included caustics, combustible liquids and battery acid. The warehouse, process tower, bio-filter system by BIOREM and building mechanical/electrical systems were all designed to be expandable for future expansions. Carl A. Nelson & Company produced all construction documents in metric units and the project was built using these units.
