Former SeaBee joins CANCO as superintendent

Carl A. Nelson & Company would like to welcome our newest superintendent, Kevin Halstrum of Winterset, Iowa. Kevin is a native of Los Angeles and a U.S. Navy veteran who moved to the Midwest after marrying an Iowa gal he met in Palm Springs.
His wife, Mary, is a work-at-home newspaper page designer for Gannett Co. The Halstrums have two daughters, ages 18 and 14.
Kevin, who spent six years with the SeaBees and brings an additional 18 years of general construction experience to CANCO, traces the roots of his construction career to the age of 12, when his general contractor father had him taping up vents in water heater closets -- because he was small and could fit in the space.
Kevin will be Carl A. Nelson & Company's superintendent on the upcoming Shenandoah school project.
