Community Health Centers of SE Iowa project consolidates services in Keokuk, Iowa, in a single location; adds primary care, mental health, pharmacy.
KEOKUK -- Joining alongside state and local officials, Carl A. Nelson & Company (CANCO) helped the leaders and staff of long-time client Community Health Centers of Southeastern Iowa to celebrate the completion of a unified primary and behavioral health addition to its dental clinic building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The 18,300 SF project enabled CHC/SEIA to unify all its services in Keokuk at a single campus, and gain additional space compared to its previous leased location.
Ground was broken to start the project in April 2023, with CANCO working as Construction Manager at-Risk.
The work marked CANCO's ninth major project built for CHC/SEIA, including construction of the dental clinic building that opened in Keokuk in 2018, as well as multiple projects in Burlington and West Burlington, Iowa; as well as a medical/dental clinic facility in Columbus City, Iowa.
