WASHINGTON, Iowa — Washington County officials from the Board of Supervisors to the Sheriff's office offered praise for the leadership shown by Carl A. Nelson & Company's performance on construction of the county's 7,000 SF, $3.6 million Emergency Operations Center, which went online in January. County leaders spoke May 5, 2021, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate the building, which is hardened against tornadoes and straight-line winds to protect emergency communications and provide a hub for disaster response.

Carl A. Nelson & Company was construction management agency on the project, which marked the county government's first-ever use of CM delivery.
