Steven Baridon elevated to project manager role after three years with the firm.

Carl A. Nelson & Company (CANCO) announced the promotion Dec. 5, 2025, of Steven Baridon to the role of project manager with the firm. Steven joined CANCO in 2023 as a project engineer, and has been engaged with projects for the IKM-Manning and Grundy Center school districts in Iowa, as well as Lee County, Iowa's, new public health and EMS building. 

"(Steven) contributes significantly to our successes," Vice President of Operations (Cedar Falls) Jamie Stanley wrote in an internal announcement. "We are confident in Steven’s leadership skill and ability to successfully execute all cycles of projects from business development, estimating, scheduling, project and safety management, closeout, and client relationships."

A graduate in Construction Management from the the University of Northern Iowa, Steven has a total of seven years of construction industry experience. During that time, he has worked on healthcare, education, commercial and industrial projects.
